Alumni & Philanthropy Day: Students Say “Thanks!”

On April 8, hundreds of GW students stopped by Kogan Plaza for Alumni & Philanthropy Day, an annual celebration that recognizes philanthropy and lifelong involvement at GW.

Co-sponsored by the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, the 2014 Senior Class Gift committee and The Colonial Ambassadors, the event gives students a chance to thank the alumni donors who make scholarships, and much more, possible.

Throughout the day, students penned letters to express their gratitude. As GWSB senior Hunter Hunter Pritchard told GW Today, “Alumni donors help ensure students can continue to make an impact, not only within the GW community, but in the D.C. community and beyond.”

Students were also given the opportunity to sign a large “Thank You” banner that will be shared with alumni at upcoming events. By day’s end, the sign boasted signatures from 1,000 Colonials.
