Alumnus Named to Leadership Positions at DynCorp International

Laurence Grayer, GWSB BBA ’92, has been named senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of DynCorp International, a leading multi-billion dollar global aviation, logistics, training and supply chain company.

In his new role, Grayer leads, manages and directs the legal affairs of the entire corporation.

Grayer joined DynCorp International (DI) in 2006, most recently serving as vice president and deputy general counsel. Prior to his time with DI, Grayer served as assistant general counsel with the Amalgamated Transit Union in Washington, DC.

Previously, Grayer was an associate with the law firm of Hack, Piro, O’Day, Merklinger, Wallace & McKennain Florham Park, NJ. Grayer also served as a law clerk/intern for Justice John J. Clabby with the New York State Supreme Court; Corporation Counsel, City of New York; New York Stock Exchange, Enforcement Division; and Congressman James H. Saxton in Washington, D.C.

Grayer holds a JD from St. John’s School of Law and a BBA from GW. His bar admissions include Virginia (Corporate Counsel), New Jersey, Washington, DC the United States Supreme Court and various other federal courts. An avid legal writer, Grayer has authored published articles for several Law Reviews.
