Charlotte Conable, CCAS MA ’76, passed away in Sarasota, FL on July 19 at the age of 83.
Conable, who wrote about and advocated for women’s issues, was the public-policy project coordinator for GW’s Women’s Studies Program and Policy Center in the late 1970s. She was married to Barber B. Conable Jr., a congressman and World Bank president.
Conable is survived by four children, 11 grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
