CCAS/LAW Alumnus Named First Asian-American Judge in Virginia

John Tran, CCAS BA ’81, LAW JD ’84 has been appointed to the Fairfax Circuit Court Bench. Tran is the first Asian-American full-time judge to sit on a court of record in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Tran is a partner in the firm of DiMuroGinsberg, P.C. in Alexandria, VA.  The firm practices in the state and federal courts throughout Northern Virginia.

After Tran’s investiture, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Virginia, along with other bar associations, will be hosting a reception in Tran’s honor on July 12, 2013 in Fairfax County.
