CCAS Alumnus receives Illinois Bankers Association’s Award

Glazov_J_BloJoshua Glazov, CCAS BA ’92, received the Illinois Bankers Association’s Distinguished Bank Counsel award on June 25, 2013.  Glazov is currently a principal in the Financial Services and Construction Law practice group at the Chicago-based law firm Much Shelist.

At the firm, Glazov regularly counsels financial institutions and developers in contracting to design and build commercial, industrial and residential projects, as well as lending and borrowing to finance said projects.

The Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) represents nearly 90% of the assets of the Illinois banking industry and only presents this award on rare occasions—just 8 times in IBA’s 122 year history.

Bruce Jay Baker, IBA’s executive vice president and general counsel said, “Josh Glazov has been invaluable in guiding us through the labyrinth of complex mechanics’ lien and construction-related laws for several years…Josh’s assistance in analyzing, drafting, negotiating and even testifying on proposed legislation on behalf of the IBA and the entire Illinois banking industry in these matters deserves special recognition.”
