GSEHD alumnus appointed as president of Silver Lake College

Chris Domes, GSEHD EdD ’09, has been appointed as the 10th president of Silver Lake College of the Holy Family in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Dr. Domes has been at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia since 1996. He currently serves as the Vice President for Student Development and Enrollment Management. Dr. Domes will assume his new duties at Silver Lake College prior to the start of the fall 2013 term.

During his tenure at Marymount University, Dr. Domes led marketing and recruitment initiatives that grew full time enrollments as well as the resident and minority student populations. He also serves on local and national boards including the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, the Board of Trustees for Leadership Arlington and the Board of Advisors for the National Research Center for College and University Admissions.

Dr. Domes earned his bachelor’s degree in history and his master’s degree in education and counseling psychology from St. Bonaventure University in New York, and completed his doctor of education in higher education administration at GW.
