Mohamed Kabir, ESIA MA ’07, co-authored an opinion piece in Haaretz entitled “North Africa, the Obama administration’s policy orphan?” The article focuses on U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s first visit abroad to countries in the Middle East and Europe. He argues that it was a mistake of Kerry and the Obama Administration to omit a visit to North Africa as part of the Secretary’s inaugural tour. Kabir urges Washington to open a line of dialogue with North African countries and revisit its policy in the region in the aftermath of the Arab Spring.

Kabir is a senior foreign policy advisor and a preview of his entire article can be found at Haaretz Online.
