GSEHD alumnae, faculty present at TECBD Conference

Dr. Elisabeth Rice was among the TECBD conference presenters

In October 2012, alumnae and faculty from the Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) presented at the 36th annual Teacher Educators for Children with Behaviorial Disorders (TECBD) conference in Tempe, AZ.

Amy Srsic, GSEHD EdD ’11 and Elisabeth Hess Rice, GSEHD MA ’92, EdD ’00, presented “Voices of Girls with EBD: Fostering Positive Relational Growth” and “Ethnicity and Academic Achievement for Students with EBD” (with help from doctoral student Kandace Wernsing, GSEHD MA ’09).

Srsic and Rice presented on Oct. 26; the conference ran from Oct. 25-27. TECBD is geared towards education professionals who care for the well being and success of children and youth with emotional and behavior challenges.

Srsic is a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh. Rice is a GSEHD faculty member.
