On Oct. 20 and 21, join local GW alumni on the Charles River for the famed 48th annual Head of the Charles Regatta.
The gathering will take place as the GW Men’s Rowing Varsity 8 participates in the most prestigious rowing event in the United States during Sunday’s Championship Eights event. The event will be headquartered at a tent in “Reunion Village,” where snacks and soft drinks will be available throughout each day of competition.
On Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., brunch will be available as alumni boats from both the men’s and women’s rowing teams will compete. The men’s alumni group will race in the Men’s Alumni Eights event at 11:16 a.m., followed by the women in the Alumnae Eight race at 11:34 a.m. The GW men will also enter a boat in the Men’s Club Eight event at 1:20 p.m.
On Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., lunch items will be served in the lead up to the GW men’s rowing Varsity 8 participating in the Championship Eights event at 2:55 p.m.
