GWebinars draw crowds

Since February 2011, the GWebinar series has connected alumni, students, staff and faculty from around the world through online interactive presentations on career and professional development.

Christine Brown-Quinn, GWSB MBA ’92 has presented numerous webinars in the series. In addition to building relationships with fellow alumni, she says “GWebinars offer practical, insightful advice on a variety of topics relevant to people in business.”

More than 1800 people have registered for a webinar, and with 25+ “on demand” webinars in the series, numbers continue to rise. To date, the most popular webinars are:

Series creator Michael Steelman, director of alumni career services, says that the program provides the opportunity for Colonials to share knowledge and expertise with the GW worldwide network.

“We can have an alumnus in the UAE present and answer questions live with hundreds of alumni and students around the world,” he says, adding that “he looks forward to growing this program and allowing more alumni to share their talents and advice with fellow Colonials.”

The series is open to all alumni. Presenters have included alumni, faculty, staff and industry experts from around the world. In addition to GW, presenters have represented companies such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Deloitte and Brazen.
