Robert Kaplan, GWSB MS ’77

Robert Kaplan, GWSB MS ’77, published his first book, Nakam (Vengeance), the story of Nazi-looted Jewish art restored to the victim’s descendants through covert action.

Outraged over anti-Semitism he experienced in Eastern Europe in 2009, Kaplan wrote the historical novel after a chance meeting in Prague with the frustrated great-nephew of a Holocaust victim denied jurisdiction for nine years by the Court system in the Czech Republic. With twisted justice, the story unfolds intensely into a surprise ending.

Kaplan is vice president and chief information officer of PHP Healthcare Corporation. He started his career at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in the 1970s.
