Joseph J. Yanish, SPHHS MS ’86, a senior health systems specialist for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Providence, Rhode Island, was inducted as president-elect for the Rhode Island Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) on January 12, 2012. He recently received the ACHE Service Award for his volunteer efforts with the community and his mentoring of hospital administration students and early career healthcare executives. Yanish is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty for the Health Care Administration Program of Rhode Island College.
