Jianhai Lin, GWSB DBA ’86, was named secretary of the International Monetary Fund, where he has served as the acting director of the Secretary’s Department since November 2011.
Lin, a Chinese national, studied at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, and at the University of California at Berkeley. He earned his doctorate in international finance from GW. Before coming to the Fund, he worked in the financial sector and academia.
