Miles K. Davis, GWSB PhD ’02

Miles Davis named dean of Shenandoah University’s Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of BusinessMiles K. Davis, GWSB PhD ’02, was named dean of Shenandoah University’s Harry F. Byrd Jr. School of Business, effective July 1.

Davis, a founding director of the School of Business Institute for Entrepreneurship, works as an associate professor of management at the university.

Davis has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Duquesne University, a master’s in human resources development from Bowie State University, and a doctorate in organization behavior and management from George Washington University.

He has more than 15 years of university teaching experience and served as the inaugural chairman of the management science department at Shenandoah from 2003 to 2005. Davis is a managing partner at The Prosperity Fund LLC and a principal at Davis, Adolphe and Gibson LLC.

He serves on the executive committee of the Strategic Research Council and the board of trustees of Amana Mutual Funds Trust.
