William P. Smith Jr., GWSB MBA ’61, GSEHD MA ’70

William P. Smith Jr., GWSB MBA ’61, GSEHD MA ’70, who served as George Washington University’s vice president for student affairs for more than two decades, passed away Oct. 17.  Dr. Smith began working for GW in the mid-1950s. Early in his career, he served as director of personnel services and as the executive assistant to two of the university’s presidents. He became vice president for student affairs in the late 1960s and retired from the university in 1989. Read a full tribute at The Washington Post.
