William (Bill) D. Tomcykowski, CCAS AA ’56, GSEHD BA ’58, of Omaha, Neb., a member of the GW football team that won the 1957 Sun Bowl game at El Paso, Tex., died March 30, 2011. He played on the 1956 Colonials team that was 8-1-1, including a 13-0 victory over Texas Western (now UTEP) Jan. 1, 1957. Mr. Tomcykowski, a retired physical therapist and master gardener, and his wife of 48 years, Ann, had three children and five grandchildren. He and his wife returned to Washington in October 2006 to attend a 50-year reunion of the Sun Bowl team.
