Jessica Denson, BA SMPA ’07, appeared this summer in the HBO mini-series SHOW ME A HERO from THE WIRE creator David Simon. In it she portrays Gail Wasicsko, the sister-in-law of embattled mayor Nick Wasicsko, played by Oscar Isaac.

Ms. Denson first delved into the media as a journalism major at GW, where she wrote for the GW Hatchet, anchored a GW-TV news magazine from the front lawn of the White House, and won a Gracie Allen Award for a feature news story about a Holocaust survivor. She graduated summa cum laude in three years and presented CNN’s Wolf Blitzer with his Honorary Degree from GW.
