We spoke with Stacie Spiegel, ESIA ’97, to learn about her #GWAW15 experience and why she plans to continue coming back to campus each fall for Alumni Weekend.

Why did you decide to come back for Alumni Weekend?

I have returned to campus for Alumni Weekend the past few years and it is always a great time.  I seem to find the energy from my college days when I step foot back on campus.  I enjoy seeing old familiar faces, meeting new alumni, and seeing what’s happening at GW. This year, I organized an event to add to the festivities: the newly formed GW Program Board Alumni Network hosted our kick-off celebration during Alumni Weekend!

When was the last time you were on campus? What has changed since?

I am on campus somewhat regularly, but there is always something new.  This visit, I had the opportunity to tour the newly relocated Textile Museum, a must-see for anyone who comes to campus.

What would you tell other regional volunteers who were thinking about coming to Alumni Weekend 2016?

Mark your calendars now!  Alumni Weekend 2016 won’t disappoint.  It will be a great time to see all of the changes taking place on campus, enjoy a great concert with old and new friends, and network with other regional volunteers.  You might even come away with new programming ideas for your regional group (or the inspiration to start your own affinity group)!
