Dana Sleeper, GWSB BBA ’12, was recently promoted to executive director of the Maryland, DC and Virginia Solar Energy Industries Association (MDV-SEIA). The regional trade association is celebrating 30 years of advocacy work this year.

Sleeper, who is also a member of the national Solar Energy Industries Association Board of Directors, reports to the 13 elected board members of MDV-SEIA and is responsible for carrying out the directives of the organization.

Previously, Sleeper served multiple organizations and had positions including executive director of the Binaytara Foundation, an organization focused on eliminating diseases, specifically cancer, in developing countries.

Sleeper also serves as a volunteer board member for the Ralph Verde Foundation, an organization started by GW alumnus Giuseppe Verde. The organization honors Verde’s brother’s memory by providing scholarships to deserving high school students.
