Alumna Pens Children’s Book

Marian Lee, CCAS BA ’76, has published the children’s book, The Lioness of Brumley Hall and Her Most Unusual Grandchildren (CreateSpace). The book was published under Lee’s pen name, Augusta Pearson Benners.

In the book, the relationship between a grandmother and her grandchildren takes on a new meaning due to the existence of numerous magical powers. Lee wrote the The Lioness in homage to her own grandmother.

Lee is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in political science. She graduated from GW with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1976 and earned a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling from the University of South Florida in 2012. She will graduate with her doctorate degree in 2016.
