Kirk Merritt ESIA BA ’98, and Lien Lea (Cox) Merritt, ESIA BA ’98, credit Thurston Hall for bringing them together; these lovebirds met on the 9th floor on the first day of move-in week.
They were just friends for months—until a date during spring break at Mr. Henry’s Pub (remember, ’90s alumni?) changed everything.
Kirk and Lien Lea have been together ever since and got married in 2002. They have an 11-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son.
