The annual music, film, and interactive conference and festival South by Southwest (SXSW) takes place in Austin, TX from March 8 – 17…and if you’re going to be there, don’t miss the chance to meet up with a group of GW Alumni on March 11!
Whether you’re in town for SXWS or live in Austin full time, the GW Austin Alumni Network invites you to join your fellow Colonials for good food, drinks and fun at the Hangar Lounge, located in Austin’s Warehouse District.
While there, you can discuss the best SXSW performances and film screenings and debate which speakers had the best sessions. Or, you can just catch up with friends and make new connections!
“SXSW exemplifies everything that I love about Austin – the music, the food and the vibrant culture,” says Austin Alumni Network volunteer Scott Shepard, CCAS BA ’10. “I’m incredibly excited for the chance to show off my city to visiting alumni and, as always, to hang out with the local alumni during my favorite week of the year.”
Registration for the alumni gathering is $10 and includes a selection of appetizers, and two drink tickets (for beer or wine) per person.
