Calling all game-changers and innovators!

GW has a long history of driving change and making history—an entrepreneurial spirit pulses through the GW community.

To celebrate the initiatives of those who forge their own path, the University, in conjunction with the GW Office of Entrepreneurship, and GW Entrepreneurs Round Table (GWERT) presents the Distinguished Entrepreneurial Achievement Award.

This award honors the outstanding achievements of the risk-takers and visionaries, the enterprising and the imaginative.

“Receiving the 2011 Entrepreneurial Achievement Award felt like a true homecoming,” says Ed Barrientos, GWSB MBA ’90.  “Some of the very professors that I had learned so much from in my early years at GW were present to congratulate me for a job well done.  I felt proud, I felt loved and I was humbled by the honor of being chosen as that year’s recipient.”

“Today,” adds Barrientos, “the award hangs on my office wall, next to my GW degree and is a daily reminder of the wonderful professors, fellow students, peers and family that helped launch me on my entrepreneurial journey.”
