In Memoriam: James Reichman, SEAS MS ’72

James Reichman, SEAS MS ’72, of Atlanta, GA passed away on Aug. 1. He worked on Naval weapons designs and received his masters in systems engineeringfrom GW before going on to residential real estate.

Reichman had a successful career in real estate as a broker managing an office of agents, ultimately opening his own company along with personally buying, renovating and selling homes. For fun, he was an early adopter of personal computers quickly learning programming and he completed three Marine Corps Marathons and countless 10K races.

In 1998, Reichman moved to Atlanta and changed careers, working at Emory Healthcare as a financial analyst and programmer.  He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan, two children, four grandchildren and a brother.
