Alumnus Runs for CA Congress

James H. Kimber, SMHS BS ’02

James H. Kimber, SMHS BS ’02, a 20 year veteran from Long Beach, CA, is running for California’s 50th Congressional District.

Kimber served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, and during his career he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from GW.  Following his naval career, he returned to school where he attended the physician assistant program at Stanford University.

Kimber serves on medical staff at Palomar Medical Center, where he is practicing in neurosurgery.  He is also developing a physician assistant program at Cal State University, San Marcos, where he will serve as program director.
