Joel Silidker, CCAS BA ’74, SMHS MD ’79, passed away on July 6, 2013. Dr. Silidker was a clinical professor in the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences department at the Yale School of Medicine.
Born in New Jersey, Dr. Silidker went on to study medicine at GW. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale, and has remained as a pillar of the community ever since.
Dr. Silidker was the recipient of numerous departmental award at Yale. “We have all been touched by his warmth, bright welcoming smile, friendship and passion for all that he did,” said Dr. Silidker’s colleague, Dr. Hugh Taylor.
Dr. Silidker is survived by his wife, Tina (Wasserman) Silidker, ESIA BA ‘74, and sons Jordan and Aaron.
