Double alumnus and GW staff member Eric Gutierrez, GWSB BBA ’06 & MTA ’11 married his college sweetheart, Karol Espejo, on June 22, surrounded by the people they love most—including a spate of Colonials.

Gutierrez and Espejo are both proud members of their respective Latino Greek lettered organizations—which is how they met, even though they attended different schools in the DC area.  They soon found out they had a lot in common, and by 2009, they were a couple. They became engaged on Dec. 31, 2011.

Through the years, they’ve remained connected to their alma maters (Espejo attended the University of Maryland), and to the organizations that helped bring them together…which is how their wedding at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD staged a mini reunion for the couple’s GW crew.

More than a dozen GW alumni and staff members were there to see Gutierrez and Espejo tie the knot—and to celebrate by dancing the night away.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
