Laura Shannon, GWSB MBA ‘00, has joined the full-service CPA and management consulting firm of Halt, Buzas & Powell as controller. The firm is located in Alexandria, VA. In her role, Shannon will be assisting with the accounting operations of the firm, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. Prior to joining HB&P, Shannon served as Administration and Accounting Manager at Norman Data Defense Systems for 17 years. She has an MBA from GW and earned her BA from Bucknell University.
