ESIA Alumna Joins Law Firm’s DC Office

Elizabeth Leavy, ESIA BA ‘07, recently joined the law firm of Husch Blackwell in their Washington, DC office. Leavy joins the firm as an associate primarily focused in the area of government contracts litigation. She will also assist the firm’s energy team with federal energy regulatory commission matters.  Prior to joining the firm, Leavy practiced with the Washington, DC, firm of McCarthy, Sweeney & Harkaway. Leavy began her legal career in the Office of the General Counsel, Council of the District of Columbia. Leavy received her JD from Cornell Law School in 2011, where she received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards and was Notes Editor for the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy. Prior to attending law school, Leavy worked as a case analyst for a Fortune 500 company, L-3 Communications. She earned her BA in international affairs from GW in 2007.
