Ronald Sasiela, SEAS MS ’00, has been honored by the Institute of Food Technologists by being named a Certified Food Specialist. The Institute of Food Technologists is an organization of over 15,000 professionals and Sasiela is one of the first people it has awarded the designation of Certified Food Specialist.
Sasiela has worked for over 45 years in the technical field, has co-authored industry reference books, and is a co-inventor on patents. Furthermore, Sasiela has served as the Research and Development Director for two large food corporations. It is his experience in the field of food science and his demonstration of his proficiency in the core professional competencies of being a food scientist that have earned him this title of a CFS.
