Jeremy Cross, CCAS BA ’96, embarked on a new business venture by partnering with a colleague to start a brewery, Battle Road Brewing Co. Beginning in 2007, Cross produced his beer by contracting the necessary equipment from a nearby brewery, but recently has been able to take on all aspects of production through his own business.
Before 2007, Cross had served as an apprentice brewer and later managed to work at breweries across the country while enrolled in a master brewing program. After marrying his wife, he moved to Massachusetts where he continued to work as a brewer and eventually began his own brewing operations. His new brewery, Battle Road, presently produces three styles of beer and its products are distributed in nearly 200 locations across Eastern Massachusetts.
