GW Mag Sneak Peek: Ann Becker, ESIA MA ’76

Have you ever wanted to see Costa Rica or learn Spanish? If you connect with Ann Becker, ESIA MA ’76, you can do both!

Ann is an entrepreneur who offers guided, small group experiential trips to Costa Rica throughout the year. She’ll also be featured in the Spring 2013 edition of GW Magazine, where you can learn more about how she turned her passion for travel into a thriving business.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to plan a trip, check out Ann’s upcoming Spanish Language/Cultural Immersion Experience, from April 13 – 21.

The Spanish Language/Cultural Immersion Experience provides a highly customized approach to learning or improving Spanish. All language levels are welcome.

The first part of this weeklong trip consists of three days of small group Spanish lessons at a Spanish language school, combined with cultural activities and a local home stay experience in Tres Rios, a San Jose suburb.

The second half of this trip gives participants a completely different view of Costa Rican life and culture by traveling to the rain forest of the magnificent Osa Peninsula, where students have the opportunity to improve their skills through an “out-of-the-classroom” immersion experience.

While seeing the world, you’ll have the chance to connect with a fellow Colonial—Ann is an involved member of the GW community who loves to meet fellow alumni.

There’s another benefit to taking this trip as a Colonial. Although the price officially increased as of Feb. 15, Ann will offer the original cost of $2395 to the GW alumni network! The offer will be valid for any registrations received by March 31.

Spots are still available, but space is limited—book today by visiting Ann’s website!
