Tom Stowell, GSEHD Cert. ’09, director of GSEHD’s Office of Career Services, was selected to receive the Carl D. Perkins Government Relations Award from the American Counseling Association. This award honors a member who has made a significant contribution to the counseling profession by influencing public policy at the state or national level.
Stowell has influenced public policy at the state or national level through his role as chair of the National Career Development Association’s Government Relations Committee and through his membership of the American Counseling Association Public Policy Committee. He will receive his award at a ceremony during the ACA Conference in Cincinnati on March 23.
