Suzanne Wright, CCAS BA ’88, has been selected to receive the Eastern Region Museum Education Art Educator Award from the National Art Education Association (NAEA). The award will be presented during the 2013 NAEA National Convention in Forth Worth, TX, March 7-10, 2013. Wright was selected by her peers for her contribution to the field of visual arts education. Wright is the director of education at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.
The NAEA is divided into six job-alike categories called Divisions: Elementary, Secondary, Middle Level, Higher Education, Supervision and Administration, and Museum Education. Division award nominees must spend at least 51% of their work day in the job division in which they have been nominated. The award recognizes exemplary art educators who help set standards for quality art education.
