Exhibit: Clarice Smith: Captured Moments

GW’s Luther W. Brady Art Gallery presents Clarice Smith: Captured Moments, a painting exhibition. The opening reception will be held on Jan. 17 from 5-7 p.m. The gallery is located on the Foggy Bottom campus, in the Media & Public Affairs Building at 805 21st Street, NW.

The exhibition will run from Jan. 17 – Mar. 15. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Most recently, Smith’s work was showcased at the Gerald Peters Gallery in New York City, in Sept. and Oct. of 2012.

Clarice Smith, CCAS BA ’76, MFA ’79,  was born in Washington, D.C. She attended the University of Maryland and received a BA and MFA from GW, where she was also a member of the Art Department faculty from 1980-1987.

Smith has been painting professionally for 35 years, and has had numerous solo exhibitions in prestigious galleries in the United States and abroad including London, Paris, Zurich, Maastricht and Jerusalem.
