David Hildebrand, CCAS MA ’87 has published a public radio piece, “Music of the War of 1812″ as a double CD set. The set includes newly recorded period music, plus the one-hour public radio program, written and narrated by Hildebrand. Visit 1812music.org for more information.
Hildebrand and his wife are also featured in the documentary film Anthem, which premieres on Dec. 19 on Maryland Public Television. Hildebrand served as chief music consultant for the film.
In Jan. 2013, public television’s “History Detectives” will feature Hildebrand’s interpretation of an early study of the “Star-Spangled Banner.” The show will air on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 8pm EST/7pm CST on local PBS stations.
