Dr. Christine Emery, CCAS BA ’83, MPhil ’00, PhD ’04

Dr. Christine Emery, CCAS BA ’83, MPhil ’00, PhD ’04, has joined the university’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations as Assistant Vice President for Development, Elliott School of International Affairs. Emery joined the staff on Nov. 29. Emery has a BA in American Literature, an MPhil in International Affairs and a PhD in Political Science from GW’s Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. Her career has combined academic research, high-level executive experience and a range of fundraising experience – all connected to international affairs. She has served as a fellow and senior director of Institutional Relations at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), vice president for Investment Policy at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and vice president for Institutional Advancement at CHF International (a non-profit development organization). Emery has traveled extensively, and she is fluent in French and Spanish.
