Aleta J. Williams, GWSB MPA ’94, was appointed director of global education practice for GRM International. In this role, she will build GRM’s education, youth, and workforce development practice by working to improve the quality of primary, vocational, and tertiary educational systems. Williams was working as the senior education advisor for the US Agency for International Development’s Africa Bureau, where she created drastic improvements to the education system in Africa through new, innovative strategies and collaborative efforts between African Heads of State, African First Ladies, and celebrities.
Williams is also a founding board member of the African-American Women’s Fund of the 21st Century Foundation, and she served as a member of the Obama 2008 Economics, Globalization, and Trade Policy Committee.
