R. Tucker Winn, GSEHD MA ’62

R. Tucker Winn, GSEHD MA ’62, a retired Fairfax County schools teacher who later owned and operated a college counseling business, died June 23 at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. She was 85.

Winn became a teacher with the Fairfax schools system in the early 1950s. She taught at Fairfax High School and W.T. Woodson High School until joining the admissions office at George Mason University in the late 1970s. From 1981 until her retirement in 2002, she ran a counseling business in Alexandria, helping to recommend college choices to high school students.
