During the last week of March, the GW Office of Undergraduate Admissions notifies regular decision applicants of their admission status.

This can be a trying time for students and parents, but an exciting time for a university community, as the freshman class begins to take shape.

As GW prepares to welcome the Class of 2016 to the Colonials community, we decided to take a longer-term look at GW undergraduate admissions trends.

And we were very impressed by what we saw.

With the help of alum Patrick Donnelly, GWSB MBA ’10, we created this infographic that illustrates the growing interest in GW, as indicated by undergraduate applications, and increasing selectivity of the university, as indicated by the admission rate, over the last two decades.

Let us know what you think!
