Albert Abramson, LAW LLB ’38

Albert Abramson, LAW LLB ’38, a prominent DC real estate developer, passed away March 6 at his home in Bethesda.  He is survived by his three sons, Gary Abramson of Potomac, Jeffrey Abramson ofRockville and Ronald Abramson ofWashington; a sister; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. His wife of 64 years, Ruth Selsky Abramson died in 2006.

Abramson, who launched his business, the Tower Companies, in 1974, built such notable DC are buildings such as the White Flint Mall, and theWashington Squareoffice building.  He also made a significant contribution to public life with his behind-the-scenes work on the planning and construction of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in the 1980s and early 1990s.
