Fred W. Stewart, SEAS MS ’92

Fred W. Stewart, SEAS MS ’92, passed away Nov. 10. After serving as a Navy pilot during World War II, Mr. Stuart became a broadcaster and program director at WRC-TV (Channel 4) and its NBC radio affiliate in Washington, where he worked alongside Willard Scott and puppeteer Jim Henson. He also served as a Navy Reserve officer, reaching the rank of captain, until 1975. Read a full tribute at The Washington Post.
